Dumpster Rental Terms & Conditions
At Budget Bins, we strive to make dumpster rentals simple, affordable, and convenient for homeowners, businesses, and contractors throughout Erie, PA and surrounding communities. To ensure a safe and reliable rental experience, please review the following terms and conditions before scheduling your dumpster delivery.
By reserving or accepting delivery of a Budget Bins dumpster, customers agree to the following policies.
1. Payment Terms
Payment is required before or at the time of dumpster delivery unless other arrangements have been approved by Budget Bins.
We accept major credit cards through our online reservation system. Cash or check payments may also be accepted upon delivery when arranged in advance.
A $45 fee will be charged for any returned checks.
All rental fees, additional disposal charges, and other applicable costs must be paid in full. Budget Bins reserves the right to pursue collection of outstanding balances in accordance with applicable law.
2. Dumpster Sizes & Weight Limits
Budget Bins offers four roll-off dumpster sizes to accommodate projects of all sizes.
Each dumpster rental includes a specific amount of disposal weight based on the container size.
Included Weight Allowances:
- 10 Yard Dumpster: 1 ton included
- 15 Yard Dumpster: 1 ton included
- 20 Yard Dumpster: 1.5 tons included
- 30 Yard Dumpster: 2 tons included
- Additional Weight: $88 per ton
Any disposal weight exceeding the included allowance will be billed at $88 per additional ton.
Partial tons will be charged proportionally based on actual excess weight.
Final disposal weights are determined by the receiving landfill or disposal facility.
Customers are responsible for all additional tonnage charges incurred during their rental.
Heavy materials such as concrete, bricks, dirt, gravel, stone, and similar debris require prior approval from Budget Bins. These materials may be restricted or require special arrangements due to equipment weight limitations.
Budget Bins reserves the right to refuse pickup of dumpsters that exceed safe hauling limits until the load has been adjusted.
3. Maximum Fill Line & Safe Loading
For the safety of our drivers, equipment, and other motorists, dumpsters must be loaded properly and must not exceed the designated maximum fill level.
Customers agree to the following:
- Materials must not extend above the top edge or designated fill line of the dumpster.
- All debris must be placed securely inside the container.
- Items may not be stacked against or left outside the dumpster.
- Customers are responsible for loading their own materials.
- Budget Bins drivers are not responsible for placing loose debris or other items into the dumpster.
- Overfilled or improperly loaded dumpsters may be refused for pickup until the customer corrects the issue.
- A $65 failed pickup fee may apply if our driver arrives and cannot safely remove the dumpster.
If you have questions about properly loading your dumpster, please contact Budget Bins before pickup.
4. Delivery & Dumpster Placement
Budget Bins recommends placing dumpsters on a firm, level surface, such as a paved driveway or designated parking area.
Placement on grass, dirt, gravel, or other soft surfaces may result in ruts, impressions, or damage due to the weight of the dumpster and delivery equipment.
Our drivers will make reasonable efforts to protect your property during delivery and pickup. Protective boards may be placed beneath the dumpster when appropriate to help reduce direct contact with driveways and other surfaces.
However, protective materials do not guarantee that surface damage will be prevented.
Customers are responsible for selecting an accessible and suitable placement location. Final placement is subject to the driver's determination that the location can be accessed safely.
Budget Bins is not responsible for damage resulting from customer-requested placement on unsuitable surfaces or unsafe site conditions, except where liability cannot legally be excluded.
Additional delivery charges may apply for locations outside our standard service area. Any applicable delivery fees will be communicated before the rental is confirmed.
5. Failed Delivery or Pickup
Customers are responsible for ensuring that Budget Bins drivers have safe, clear, and unobstructed access to the dumpster location.
A $65 fee will be assessed when a scheduled delivery or pickup cannot be completed due to customer-controlled conditions.
Examples include:
- Vehicles or other objects blocking access
- Insufficient space for safe dumpster placement or removal
- Overfilled or improperly loaded dumpsters
- Unsafe or inaccessible placement locations
- Customer-requested changes after the driver has arrived
- Failure to prepare the dumpster for scheduled pickup
- Additional charges may apply if multiple return trips are necessary.
6. Rental Period & Additional Days
Dumpster rental periods are established at the time of booking.
If additional time is needed, customers must contact Budget Bins to request an extension before their scheduled pickup date.
Additional rental days are $40 per day.
Rental extensions are subject to dumpster availability and must be approved by Budget Bins.
Customers are encouraged to request extensions at least 48 hours before their scheduled pickup whenever possible.
Budget Bins reserves the right to schedule pickup at the end of the agreed rental period if an extension has not been approved.

We understand that plans can change. If you need to cancel your dumpster rental, please contact Budget Bins as soon as possible.
The following cancellation fees apply:
- Standard Cancellation Fee: $30
- Same-Day Cancellation Fee: $65
- The same-day cancellation fee applies to reservations canceled on the scheduled delivery date.
- Any applicable cancellation charges will be deducted from prepaid rental amounts before a refund is issued.

These materials may require special loading restrictions or may not be accepted in certain dumpster sizes.
Some materials may also need to be separated for disposal or recycling based on landfill regulations.
Budget Bins reserves the right to assess additional charges for improperly mixed loads or materials requiring special disposal.
Loads exceeding safe hauling limits may be refused until the customer removes enough material to allow safe transportation.
